Texas Governor John Bowen Connally, Sr, riding in the same limousine in front of the Texas School Book Depository in Dealey Plaza, was arrested for killing the President but was himself shot and killed by Jack Ruby before he could be tried. Subsequent investigations have repeatedly concluded that Oswald was the assassin, but despite this many people believe that Oswald was not responsible or did not act alone.
